Executive Coaching

Improving performance at an individual level is the goal of a coaching assignment. However, CCA deploys a systemic perspective to its coaching engagement. We use this perspective to ensure that articulated behavioral change is done in the context of the needs of the total organization, key stakeholders and of course, the individual.

Coaching incorporates the setting of clear, attainable and value-add behavioral goals, a strategy for making change that typically includes standardized personality assessments and stakeholder evaluations (360° feedback process). This information is discussed with the individual relative to organizational direction/need and the impetus for change is set. Coaches remain in a supportive role as the individual activates behavioral change.

Coaching is indicated when:

  • Executive behavior is no longer supporting business strategy
  • High potential individuals require personalized development
  • Projects have stalled, derailed or fallen behind schedule

All coaching engagements bring a total system perspective and are delivered in the following sequence:

  • Set mutual expectations
  • Clarify roles and accountabilities
  • Set clear, direct goals and objectives
  • Make change a priority
  • Assess management style (360° feedback process, plus personality assessment)
  • Feedback and discussion
  • Experimentation, trial and learning
  • Generate a road map to sustain continuous improvement
